Stage 1

Application review

Stage 2

Application review

Thank you for your application to join us. 
 
Your resume is actually being reviewed by our Talent team members, not a machine, or one of those pesky ATS bots. 
 
We review all applications within 2 business days of application. If for some reason, you've applied and it's been longer than 2 business days, please reach out to our Head of Talent. 
Stage 3

Introduction to Just

Thank you for taking the time to apply and submit your resume. After review, we want to schedule you for an introductory 30-minute casual conversation with our Talent team member.
 
During this video meeting, we will be reviewing your work experiences, talking about your career interests, what you enjoy doing. In addition, we will be covering the following topics: compensation, benefits, notice periods, and interviewing next steps.

Stage 4

Hiring Manager Meeting

At this stage, you will be meeting with the hiring manager for the department via video to discuss your recent work experiences and get an in-depth understanding of the opportunity and our organization. 
 
The hiring team member will be asking direct questions relating to the role and the skills required to perform at a satisfactory level. 
 
This meeting will be conducted over Google Meets video and can last up to 1 hour.
Stage 5

Hiring Team Meeting

You've met with some leaders at Just and now are meeting with senior team members whom you will be working with.
 
This interview stage is conducted over video via Google Meets and can last up to 90 minutes.
Stage 6

Meet the Founder

Throughout our interview "process" you've met with hiring managers and potential coworkers to learn about the role and how you would "fit" into the team. Now is the time for you to meet with one of our founders to learn more about the vision, strategy, and goals of our company.

This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions that may have been on your mind throughout the process, in order to make your decision.

Stage 7

Background and Reference checking

We request (3) professional references from your previous employers. They can be any combination of previous managers, colleagues, or people who worked for you.
 
Finally, we run a background check through our provider that reviews any public records - counties you've lived in and Federal databases - DOJ (Department of Justice). This process is mandatory, as we are a regulated insurance company. Additionally, if your role has access to any financial information - bank accounts, accounting systems, we will also conduct a consumer credit history report via our background check provider.
 
The above processes take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to complete, which are dependent on how many states and counties you've lived in, in the past 7 years.
Stage 8

Offer stage

Congratulations!
 
You've made it through to our final stages of a decision-making stage. At this stage, we will be providing you details of a verbal offer to include compensation, benefits, equity options, and a start date.
 
The written offer letter will come to you electronically to review and sign to accept. 
Stage 9

Onboarding stages

Ready, set, here we grow!
 
One of our People team members will be reaching out to get your details confirmed for your start date. We will be finalizing any equipment orders and establishing a delivery date to receive your equipment. 
 
An employee account will be generated for you via BambooHR, where you will create a profile for yourself (introduction, upload a photo, etc.) and complete any documents required prior to your start date: W2, i9, employee handbook, legal notices, benefits information, etc.
